About The Author
Ila Moore
Faith has helped Ila Moore’s life last. She was married when she was sixteen and had to deal with being an adult before she really knew who she was. She learned to be strong, disciplined, and caring during the years of being married, being a mother, and running her own business.
She was not defined by her experiences with emotional manipulation later in life. It made her better. Instead of keeping her tale to herself, she decided to talk freely about how vulnerable she felt, how she was exploited online, and how many women feel lonely but don’t talk about it.
Ila does not see herself as a counselor or therapist. She writes about things that have happened to her. She has power because she is open, responsible, and thinks about her spirituality. She talks about her own habits of overgiving, weak boundaries, and emotional hunger before talking about how others have tried to manipulate her.
Her faith is still a big part of who she is. Her dependence on Jehovah throughout confession, forgiveness, and restoration reinforced her conviction that truth is preferable than secrecy and that boundaries signify wisdom rather than cruelty.
Ila Moore still fights for women of all ages to have clear emotions, set boundaries in their relationships, and respect themselves. She wants to make safe spaces for women to face the truth without feeling ashamed through speaking opportunities, future workshops, and reflective writing.
Her message is still the same: you are more than just useful.
